Shelf Life Episode 6: Star Wars Reveals for 2026

A Geek Survival Manual for a Nostalgic Midlife Reinvention

Welcome back to Shelf Life — where the shelves are always shifting, the leaks never stop, and the vault opens whenever it feels like it. I was going to talk about my Avengers shelf today… but Star Wars news dropped, and you know the rule: news comes first.

Vintage Collection Mos Eisley 4‑Pack

Let’s kick things off with the big one — the Vintage Collection Mos Eisley Cantina 4‑pack from the original Star Wars movie.

Now… I’ll be honest. I was hoping we’d finally get the Wolfman dude — Lak Sivrak — the legend who was tragically edited out of the Special Edition. I don’t know why, but I always loved that guy (keep reading to learn mor about Lak Sivrak below).

Anyway — the 4‑pack goes up for preorder on the 28th at Disney Store and Hasbro Pulse

Is there a connection between Lak Sivrak and Captain Brutus? I break it all down here.

Now, before anyone asks — to my knowlege, there’s no official connection between Lak Sivrak from the Mos Eisley Cantina and Pirate Captain Brutus from Skeleton Crew. But here’s the fun part: they’re both Shistavanen (a wolf‑like species). So even though I haven’t found any record of Lucasfilm confirming Brutus was created as an homage, he still feels like the spiritual return of the Wolfman Lucas cut from the Special Edition.

Confirmed or not, Brutus ends up feeling like the spiritual successor — the quiet return of a species fans thought was erased.

Retro Collection Reveals

Next up — the Retro Collection.

We’re getting R4‑M9, one of those blink‑and‑you‑miss‑him background droids from A New Hope. I love when Hasbro digs deep like this.

And then we got a tease — a big one — Ceremonial Princess Leia from the end of A New Hope. No preorder dates yet, at least none that I’ve seen.

Black Series "Episode 2" Figures

Moving into the Black Series, we’ve got new pre‑trilogy figures that already dropped on the 14th as Fan Channel and Amazon exclusives. These are the kind of releases that sneak up on you — one minute you’re scrolling, the next minute your wallet is crying.

Black Series Lord Starkiller

And then… the big temptation of the week.Lord Starkiller.

Preorders go live February 4th on Hasbro Pulse, Fan Channel, and Amazon. And I’ve got to say — the figure looks fantastic. I’m seriously tempted to pick this one up. The sculpt, the armor, the presence… it’s everything you want from a Legends icon.
